EcoSpeed Customer Purchase Agreement

This agreement is made by and between EcoSpeed Inc. (EcoSpeed) and our customers, who, by purchasing from EcoSpeed indicates full agreement with the following:

Production Timing
We build our kits and battery systems to order so it normally takes 6 to 8 weeks. It can take longer if one or more needed parts is out of stock or for custom projects.

Warranty
The Electric Mid-Drive and Electric Mountain Drive are warranted for one year from ship date on all mechanical and electrical parts except normal wear on standard bike parts. The warranty is for parts only if you choose to service it yourself or have someone do it for you after approval from EcoSpeed.

If the EMD or EMtnD is shipped back to the factory for service, the warranty includes labor as well. EcoSpeed supplied batteries are warranted against manufacturing defects for 2 years by the manufacturer. This warranty only applies to non-commercial use by individuals. This warranty includes return shipping via UPS ground though customers may opt to pay for faster return shipping.

Repairs or Part Replacements
Items needing warranty or other service may be shipped back to EcoSpeed for repair or replacement after approval from EcoSpeed. We can walk you through some simple repairs on the phone. Other repairs may take weeks, depending on complexity and our current repair backlog. We recommend customers planning long distance trips purchase a custom Roadside Repair Kit for their journey.

Modifications
Any unauthorized modifications or inappropriate mounting and/or use of your EcoSpeed system will void the warranty. This includes use of any motor or controller other than one supplied by EcoSpeed. We do want to support creative use of our products so we can and will make exceptions to this on a case by case basis. Contact EcoSpeed with any exception requests.

Change Orders
We recognize that there are many decisions to make in creating the best system for each of our customers. At times there may be changes in the order after the initial purchase. Once production has begun on a kit, customer changes cost us precious time, materials and money. Therefore, changes made after production has begun are subject to a 15% restock fee on any standard parts that are replaced along with any additional costs for new parts affected by mid production changes. Production may begin the day of the order or a few weeks into the order depending on type of product.

Cancellation Policy for Standard Systems
There is a 15% restock fee on any orders that are canceled after the order date.

Cancellation Policy for Custom Systems
Any custom work already done cannot be refunded. Custom engineering work is $150/hour. If a cancellation is made on a system which required custom work, everything except the custom work will be refunded with the normal 15% restocking fee.  All custom work done will be charged.

30 Day Return Policy
If a new customer is not satisfied with their system it can be returned for a refund within the 30 days after the ship date. There will be a 15% restocking fee and any parts that cannot be sold as new cannot be refunded.
Suitability for a Particular Application:
It is the customer’s responsibility to verify that a particular kit will work with their bike. Contact EcoSpeed if unsure. In particular, the Downtube and Boom Mount kits are designed to fit 68mm bottom brackets with 1.37″ English threads and requires sufficient derailleur height adjustment to fit a 46 Tooth big chain ring.
