We're always on the lookout for better battery technology. For the last several years we've used the proven LiFePO4 chemistry and you can still get those from sources we can recommend. For our flagship batteries though, we're now offering the advanced Lithium Nickel Manganese Cobalt chemistry. These batteries are similar to LiFePO4 in cycle life, but are half the weight at a given capacity. The packs are made by a US company and feature the best quality Japanese made cells. These cells are so good that the factory offers a two year warranty on these battery packs. Also new this year we offer a choice of case options so you can save money if you don't need a more full featured case design
A good way to save a bit on up front costs is to use a lower cost battery system. We are set up to support you in doing that with accessories that make it easy to interface other batteries to our systems. Our Velociraptor controller can run with any battery from 18 to almost 60 volts, and can intelligently adjust power output to whatever the battery can safely supply, so your choices are numerous. You can even set up an ultra low cost lead-acid battery system in a trunk bag and then upgrade to lithium at a later time when it's more affordable.
Lithium Tri-Metal, 13Ah, 48V, 2 year factory warranty
US Made lithium tri-metal battery pack features 65 cells arranged in a 5 parallel, 13 series configuration. Having multiple cells in parallel greatly reduces the odds that a single weak cell will limit the capacity of the entire pack. A patented phase change material keeps the cells cool during heavy use to maximize battery life. This pack uses the highest capacity cells available to give you the maximum range for the weight. They can also drive our systems to the full 1000 Watts. We recommend though, that if you plan on continuous full power operation, you use two packs or an after market LiFePO4 battery. Battery Adapter Kit
If you want to use a battery from somwhere else,
you'll need a power switch with the proper connector for our systems.
This supplies that. Includes a weather resistant high current rocker
switch in a protective aluminum case with the proper connectors for our
controller and battery systems. Also includes a wire pigtail with 50
amp fuse and connector that matches our switch box. The other end of
the pigtail is bare wires that you connect to your battery power
cables. Wires can be soldered or you can use the included crimp on
connectors to make the splices. Heat shrink tubing included for
insulating wires after soldering.

Connector Pigtail Kit
If your battery already has a power switch and
fuse and BMS(Battery Management System), all you need is the proper
connector to mate with our
controller. This kit includes a MiniFit Sr connector and wire pigtail.
The pigtail is terminated with automotive style quick connects and a
pair of quick connects are included that you can crimp onto the wires
from your battery. As an alternative, for a more secure connection, you
can clip off the quick connects and solder the pigtail wires directly
to the ends of your battery leads. Two lengths of heat shrink tubing
are included to insulate the solder joints should you choose this
option.

BMS we would recommend a pigtail kit with our 50 amp fuse, all you need
is the proper connector to mate with our controller. This kit includes

connects are included that you can crimp onto the wires from your
battery. As an alternative, for a more secure connection, you can clip

We recommend this pigtail with fuse for Ping Batteries because they
don't ship with a fuse.

Bare Power Switch
This is just the weather resistant high current
rocker switch from our Battery Adapter Kit. Used with the Connector
Pigtail Kit it is the minimum needed to connect a battery from another
source to our system. You'll need to find a way to mount it.
